Miso soup

5 minute Miso soup – the easiest soup on the planet

  • easy to digest

  • usually quick to make

  • warm you up quickly

  • good source of vitamins and minerals

  • can be given to people who find chewing difficult (e.g. the elderly, or people with certain conditions that prevent them from chewing well)

  • helps with liquid intake for those who tend to forget to drink (Please note that eating soups are not equivalent of drinking water! It is still important to drink at least 1,5 l water during the day.)

  

 

Prep and Cook Time: 5 minutes 


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 tbsp miso

  • ¼ cup sliced seaweed

  • ¼ cup sliced chives

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger 

  • Optional:

  • 2 tbsp diced tofu

Directions:

  1. Add miso, ginger, seaweed and chives to 1 cup of boiling water.
